La Sportiva Skorpius CR are ski touring boots designed for the most demanding skiers who are looking for a lightweight, durable, versatile and safe boot both uphill and downhill.
For the climb, in fact, the boot is very light and above all has a wide range of movement between the hull and the cuff. As far as the descent is concerned, the locking system is very simple and safe and the boot as a whole is solid, safe and responsive.
As for the materials used, these are very resistant. Both the hull and the cuff are in fact made of Pebax, a special plastic that reduces the thickness and consequently the final weight of the product. The difference with other models of La mount’s boot is that Skorpius CR has a hull that is reinforced with carbon, super light but helps reinforce the boot and absorb vibrations.
The cuff also has a total inclination of 68 °, also aided by the EZ Flex Overlap Tongue with a joint in the part of the instep. This great inclination allows us a unique customizable mobility, perfect for making even quick movements.
The closing system is very simple and fast: in fact you will find a single classic buckle in the cuff and a further adjustment velcro (Easy 2 Wear). In the instep you will also find a further patented buckle called Spider Buckle EVO. This allows fantastic internal volume adjustment so as to make the boot extremely comfortable and adaptable to any type of foot.
Finally, the transition from skiing mode to that walk is very fast and, above all, thanks to the SWING-LOCK Closure System hook, it avoids the exposure of metal parts to wear and to shocks.
