Versante Sud di Roccie e di Sole is the climbing guidebook of Sicily that has reached five editions in almost twenty years. These numbers give an idea of the evolution that the climbing world in Sicily has undergone. In particular, after the explosion of climbing first in the Palermo area and then in the Trapani area, in the San Vito lo Capo area, now it is the turn of the eastern area, with Canicattini emerging as the third Sicilian pole. There are many new features, not only for crags but also for bouldering and deep water only.

The increase in long routes as well, has led the project to separate crags and multipitch (a volume that will be published following the one presented here) into two different volumes, as has already happened to many other important climbing areas covered in our series.
